The 1st of 8 mistakes network marketers make
to kill their business success.
Mistake #1: Marketing to Your Friends and Family.

Why would your up-line or your network company tell you to use a technique that's partially  responsible for the failure of 1,000's of network marketers?

Two reasons primarily. First, it takes a lot of effort to train someone to be successful in business. Remember, when you start your networking venture you become a business owner. 
Most (96% of all businesses eventually fail. Without the proper training, the odds of your success are slim at best.

Second, it ultimately boils down to a numbers game...for the top marketer or the networking company. Consider this, if you have 1,000's of reps or associates and when everyone makes a list of friends and family, their distribution network can be built very quickly.

The result (for their business) is a ton of leads result in a ton of sales!

I like to encourage you to leave your friends and family alone. Don't try to sell them your products or sign them up into your opportunity, don't even mention it.

Instead, learn the real prospecting secrets.  This will become the foundation of your success. These prospecting secrets that will have you speaking to people who are already interested in what you're marketing.
