About Brad Mirtes

I live in Nashville Tennessee with my wife Tonya and our four boys. I have had many successes and many failures. Marrying Tonya was the smartest thing I've ever done and petting the bees when I was 4 years old (well my brother Mike said it was okay) was the stupidest thing I've ever done. (just a week to heal and but they itched really bad...so all in all that's not too bad..by the way I got my brother back but I can't reveal it in print cause he still doesn't know).

I've done a lot of things in my life. In high school, I cleaned a beauty shop and sold shoes. In college, I joined the National Guard to pay for tuition and worked in the cafeteria for spending money (books, gas, etc.) After college, I was a graduate student, a flight instructor, a flight school manager, a commuter pilot, a car salesman, residential and commercial roofing estimator, back to the commuter airlines as a flight instructor, and finally a pilot for FedEx flying the right seat on a Boeing 727. Yes all of it in that order.

Here's a little background. As a five year old boy I knew I wanted to fly airplanes when I grew up. So at fifteen years old I got a job cleaning a beauty shop two times a week. It paid $10 a week. And at the time, that bought me one hour in a Cessna 150. What a blast. I soloed at 16 and went off to college to finish my training to be an Airline Pilot (ATP-Airline Transport Pilot). Flying the "Big Iron" was what I wanted to do since five years of age. American, Delta, United...it did not really matter I wanted to fly big planes and make big bucks.

Long story short. Twenty-six years later I wound up flying for FEDEX and the flying is still an absolute blast! (even more fun than flying passengers 'cause boxes don't bitch. My flying creams came true and now (on apart-time basis) I get to fly the "Big Iron" and make big bucks but here's the thing...I have a schedule now that allows me the freedom to broaden and develop my skills in other areas.

You see, when you work for someone else, you surrender control. It doesn't matter if you make $5 an hour or $500 an hour. Industries change...radically sometimes...and the airline industry is no different. Things are great at FedEx and it's a fantastic company to work for...BUT...ten years from now who can predict?

Enter the need to have my own business, one that I have complete control over. Along the way I tried many different side ventures to make some extra money. Real estate, vending machines, loan brokering, insurance, network marketing, etc.

Marketing is my absolute favorite. After years of limited success in network marketing I decided it was time to take it to the next level. It's my favorite because of the possibilities. The relationships you build along the way and the leverage component that makes this industry the most exciting.

After years of being a flight instructor I knew I could never have learned to fly an airplane without being trained. And achieving success in marketing whether it's networking or just plain old direct selling it's no different.

For years I tried to learn on my own using the advice from my uplines...advice that yielded ZERO success.
